Elena is a first-year Biomedical Sciences PhD student at UC San Diego. She has a BSc in Honours Microbiology & Immunology and Minor in Art History, as well as an MSc in Integrated Neuroscience from McGill University. Elena is interested in research in host-microbe/pathogen interactions and immunology. Establishing an equitable, diverse, and intersectional learning environment is important to Elena.
