Emmanuel Adamolekun is research assistant at Helix Biogen Research institute under the supervision of Dr Elijah Oladipo a Clinical Immunology and Microbiology specialist, he is currently working on exploring Leishmania Thoi-specific antioxidant protein to design to design B and T cell multi-epitope subunit vaccine using immunoinformatics approach.
Emmanuel finished his undergraduate studies in Medical Laboratory Science from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Nigeria where he developed a great interest in immunology as an undergraduate in my fourth year.
He works at the department of Medical Laboratory services at the Olikayo Ransom Kuti Memorial Hospital, Abeokuta, Nigeria as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
He is passionate about developing Public health interventions such as vaccines and drugs for the eradication of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) also called “Diseases of poverty” which affects mostly people in rural and remote areas without access to basic amenities such as running clean water and good hygiene.
Emmanuel's career dream is to pursue his postgraduate studies in Genomics of Infectious Diseases with a special focus on Vaccine development for Neglected Tropical diseases. He is a member of some prestigious academic and professional societies such as Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), Africa Society of Laboratory Medicine (ASLM), the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH), International Society of Computational Biology.
